why your school logo is important.
I’d like to begin this article by reimagining a famous Shakespeare poem:
What’s in a logo? That which we use to recognize a brand can’t be seen as anything other....
Poetic right?
While Juliet was alluding to the fact that a name alone means nothing if who you are is a worthless human being, a logo, which is the face to your brand means everything. It should capture the essence of who or what your brand is. This includes everything from the chosen font to the color palette. It should all make SENSE according to your TYPE of business.
Once an idea is formulated into a business. A logo is created. Similar to a baby being born and it is given a name for people to refer to them with. Logos are used to identify a brand, product or service.
How you use your logo is dependent upon the type of business you have and your marketing/recruiting/retaining approaches. Many companies use their logo not just on their websites or business cards but on company swag, social media templates, marketing materials and anything else associated with their business. It’s yours so you can do with it whatever you can imagine....just make sure it makes sense with your organization.
We recommend schools have variations of the same logo, one for formal events and one for fun events. This creates brand consistency without looking out of place.
